Shah Rukh Khan seeks divine blessings at Vaishno Devi before 'Dunki' release

Shah Rukh Khan is in high spirits as he gears up for the release of his upcoming film, "Dunki," directed by the acclaimed Rajkumar Hirani. Scheduled for release on December 21, the comedy-drama features a stellar cast, including Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu, and Boman Irani.

Amidst the buzz surrounding the film, Shah Rukh Khan took a spiritual detour by visiting the Vaishno Devi Temple in Jammu to seek divine blessings ahead of the movie's release.

 A video capturing the actor's visit has been making waves on the internet. In the footage, Shah Rukh Khan is seen walking along the sacred path of the shrine, donned in a black jacket with a hoodie for a low-key appearance. Accompanied by his manager, Pooja Dadlani, the actor made his pilgrimage with his customary entourage of bodyguards.

This isn't the first time the Bollywood icon has sought blessings before a big release. Exactly a year ago, on December 12, Shah Rukh Khan visited the holy shrine before the release of "Pathaan." In August, he revisited the pilgrimage before the release of "Jawan," another blockbuster directed by Atlee Kumar.

"Dunki" is Shah Rukh Khan's much-anticipated collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani. The film explores the theme of illegal immigration, known as Donkey Flight. The trailer reveals a storyline set against the backdrop of Punjab, following Hardy (Shah Rukh Khan), who pledges to assist his friends Buggu, Sukhi, and Manu (Vikram Kochchar, Vicky Kaushal, and Taapsee Pannu) in their pursuit of moving abroad.

Penned by Abhijat Joshi, Rajkumar Hirani, and Kanika Dhillon, "Dunki" is a presentation by JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films. Produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan, the film is set to hit theatres worldwide on December 21.
