Bollywood icon Salman Khan, who recently set the box office ablaze with the release of Tiger 3 on November 12, shared insights into his perspective on the 'superstar' label and the origin of his involvement in the popular Tiger franchise in a candid interview with IndiaToday.in.

In response to the ubiquitous 'superstar' tag, Salman Khan dismissed the notion, asserting, "Nothing about me is superstarry. I have never felt like a superstar ever." The actor elaborated, emphasizing that his daily habits, travel choices, and wardrobe selections are devoid of any superstar aura. "My mind is not tuned that way. I don't think Salman Khan is a superstar. It is all bulls***," he candidly declared, revealing a humble approach to his stardom.

Contrary to the glamorous image associated with superstars, Salman Khan revealed his simple joys, stating, "I am just happy to wake up in the morning, have my coffee and start my day. I just want to give my best." The actor's down-to-earth demeanor offers a refreshing perspective on the glitzy world of Bollywood, where humility takes precedence over ostentation.

Shifting gears to the inception of the Tiger franchise, Salman reminisced about how he became part of the Yash Raj Films production, Ek Tha Tiger. Recalling the moment, he shared, "I heard the narration at my farm, around 2.30 in the afternoon. I heard the synopsis and then the whole script, and I thought it was good." The collaboration marked Salman's first venture with YRF, a significant moment given the close relationship between his father, veteran scriptwriter Salim Khan, and the Chopra family, particularly Aditya Chopra, the brains behind Yash Raj Films.

Salman Khan's involvement in the Tiger franchise, now expanded into its third installment with Tiger 3, underscores the success of the series within the YRF Spy Universe, alongside hits like War (2019) and the upcoming Pathaan (2023).

He was never a superstar. Just a shitty actor who threatened and suppressed others whenever he got a chance. Without the help of the criminal underworld, he wouldn’t have made it this far. Can’t act, can’t sing, can’t dance, can’t do anything.
