Ronit Roy on ALTBalaji-ZEE5's 'Kehne ko Humsafar Hai' Season 3: It's the most exciting season!

One of the most awaited series Kehne ko Humsafar Hain Season 3 is all set to premiere on ALTBalaji and ZEE5 on 6th June. The show stars Ronit Roy, Mona Singh and Gurdeep Kohli (Gurdip Punjj) in the lead roles and depicts the complex yet beautiful relationship between Ananya and Rohit. 

We at India Forums got in touch with Ronit Bose Roy who opened up on his experience shooting the series, his character, working with his costars, his process of preparation for a role and much more: 

 How was the shooting experience for Kehne ko Humsafar Hain season 3 and how different was it from other seasons?

It's a different series, the writing is different completely. Season 3 has obviously evolved from season one and two. The dynamics of all the relationships have changed. 

What different side of Rohit will we get to see in this season?

There's a man who married, got divorced, marries his lover, then whatever happened, it happened and now he's separated from his lover. They go for a divorce and now they have a child who the man has never seen in three years. Besides this, there are other aspects of the person that I would not like to talk about right now as it will give out the story. Like I said, the characters have grown, the relationships have taken different turns, the situations have changed, so it's going to be very exciting. 

How has the preparation like for getting into the character?

I have a process of preparation which I apply to every character that I do. First I study the story, I study the obstacles and objectives of the story, I study the objectives and obstacles of every character individually and I study the little emotional tendencies of the character's dynamic between each other. I ask the question why, when, where, what and how regarding every character and I put in together and then I make a graph which is called an arc.

How has the bonding between your co-stars evolved over the years? Was it more fun on sets this time as you've already worked with them in the last two seasons?

I go to work on a set and that's the primary motive for me going to a shoot. When I'm working, there's very little time to bond over anything else. There is always a lot of work to be done in one particular day because of various constraints, locations, Actor's dates, budgets etc. So there's no really bonding happening. As far as Mona is concerned, I know her for a lot of years, she's a dear friend. Gurdip of course is a colleague, all my interaction with Gurdip happened only on the sets. Similarly with every other actor. Of course, there are actors of all ages, there's Pooja Banerjee, there's Palak Jain and then there are all the different people and there are little bit of masti happening on the sets. Mainly, it's a place of work, so I tend to work more than fun. 

Going down the memory lane, do you recall the first time you were offered this role and what was your reaction then like?

Nothing, I was called by Balaji for the role and we had a meeting and I thought it was a great subject.
