With the right amount of practicality, the show has hit the right chord.

Sony TV is back with Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi Season 2 on popular demand and we couldn't be happier. Why, because the show has hit the right note with the viewers owing to its hard hitting subject - parenthood clubbed with limited drama quotient.

And here's what we feel about the show.

Cast:
Shaheer Sheikh, Erica Fernandes, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Moon Bannerjee, Jagat Rawat and others.

Produced By: Beyond Dreams Pvt Ltd.

Story so far:

Sonakshi (Erica Fernandes) and Dev (Shaheer Sheikh) are fast asleep when they hear their 5 month old son Shubh cry. Sonakshi gets up to go to Shubh when Dev stops her, asks her to rest and takes Shubh's responsibility, as he feels that he missed out on taking care of Suhana (the couple was separated back then) and does not want to miss out on the same with Shubh. He sings to his son and puts him to sleep, but does not sleep himself. Sonakshi gets-up on seeing Dev practice the Indonesian lingo as he has a meeting with Indonesian clients. The couple share a cute moment where Dev and Sonakshi profess their love in Indonesian language. Sonakshi decides to resume work on an important project, but while Dev, Saurabh and Bejoy are in favour of the same, Ishwari (Supriya Pilgaonkar) and Asha (Moon Bannerjee) oppose the idea as they feel that a small child needs his mother presence all the time.

Nevertheless, Sonakshi leaves Shubh and goes for her meeting, with the child getting cranky. Ishwari calls her repeatedly but the call diverts to Dev and he reaches home to comfort Shubh. Sonakshi reaches school to pick Suhana up, but she is not there. Sonakshi panics and calls Dev and after searching high and low for their daughter, Dev gets a call from a nursing home nearby where Suhana is being treated for stomach infection. After picking up Suhana, Sonakshi remembers Ishwari telling her that small children need their mother around all the time.

Sonakshi gets a call from Asha, who has a word with Ishwari about Sonakshi leaving the kids and going to work. Back at the Dixit house too, Ishwari puts forth her concern to Dev about how she (Ishwari) had no choice but to go out and work so that she could bring-up her children unlike Sonakshi who has a choice. Ishwari tells Dev how some people have the privilege to see their children grow up in front of their eyes unlike others (hinting at herself) and Sonakshi overhears them. Thus, Sonakshi takes a call to not work and conveys the same to Dev.

But Dev inturn makes a decision that he will become a house husband, while Sonakshi will focuss on her business and this idea does not board well with the rest of the family. While Elina comes to Dev to encourage him, Vicky misunderstands her and they end up having a fight. At the Bose household, Bejoy and Asha too discuss Dev's step and its pros and cons. Ishwari comes to Sonakshi and asks her to get Dev to change his mind over the decision, but Sonakshi does not manage to convince Dev.

Sonakshi explains Dev about what has to be done and where Shubh's things are kept. Dev sincerely notes everything down. On the other hand, Saurabh and Bejoy feel that Dev will not fail Sonakshi and the children. Ishwari worries about Dev and Sonakshi's decision and her brother comforts her. Dev wakes up early and manages the kitchen, wakes up the kids and gets them ready for school. Ishwari notices Dev and tells him that she does not understand their role reversal, but Dev convinces Ishwari that he will manage.

What we liked:

The kid Shubh- deserves a special mention. This munchkin is extremely adorable, not to mention the fact that Shaheer and Erica share great chemistry.

(P.S. Shaheer Sheikh around that kid is heart-melting!)

This season on Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke is a very contemporary and practical take on day to day lives of majority households. The makers have attempted to project something that every couple goes through when they have kids.

There is an absence of unrealistic content in the show, which makes it a treat to watch.

The highlight of this season is the role reversal and the house husband concept which of course is unheard of in India, but with the makers trowing light on this subject, it may work and thereby bringing about a change in society.

What lacked:

The makers showed progressive changes in all relationships along the storyline, apart from Vicky and Elena's. We wish their relationship was also shown to have mended.

The first two episodes were fast paced and we wish this continues with the upcoming ones as well.

Verdict:

The show is back with a very positive vibe in terms of its impact and characteristics.

The Ishwari that was only concerned for her son Dev's well being, is now equally concerned about Sonakshi's happiness, Bejoy, who thought that Dev was the villain in his and Sonakshi's life now thinks from Dev's POV and even Radha Rani, who criticised Dev and Sonakshi alike, still does criticise them, now only out of concern and not hatred.

We are completely loving this positive change.

Loving this season more and more. Every one's viewpoint was shown without ant OTT drama. And they were all right somewhere along the line. The character growth has been beautifully shown. For Vicki and Elena their boat will always be like this only. Vicki will always want Elena to put him above all her aspirations and Elena will always end up comparing Vicki to Dev and feel him lacking. So just like in real life you win some and lose some. Love Shaheer Sheikh, Erica Fernandes, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Moon Banerjee, Jagat Rawat in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi.

Vicky's mentality shows a section of society too, so i feel even that was needed to be shown. By far i loved all the 5 Episodes and looking forward to the coming weeks eagerly.

Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi is one of its kind. Shaheer Sheikh and Erica Fernandes are 2 finest actors we have on Television.

I never watched S1 and now reading about S2 I think I'll be one of the viewer now. It's breaking the typical stereotype of age old Saas bahu mentality.

Really the little child is too cute and Seeing Shaheer with children is always a delight.

Unheard of in India? Ridiculous. Sharing responsibility awailing leave period in turns is a common practice for working couples in India since a long time. That happens in nuclear families not in joint families where elders are there to look after the baby. What is unreasonable here is during Soha's time Sona left her withBijoy and Asha. Now both Iswari and RR are there. They can engage a nurse also to help them. Then why this drama of Dev staying at home is enacted? To highlight the worth of Female lead? Big round of applause.
