Rashmika Mandanna replaces Sreeleela in Vijay Deverakonda's 'VD12'

Vijay Deverakonda is currently basking in the glory of his recent hit, "Kushi," alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The film received widespread acclaim, especially for the sizzling chemistry between the lead actors.

The actor is now gearing up for his next project, temporarily titled "VD12," under the direction of Gowtam Tinnanuri. Initially, it was reported that the talented actress Sreeleela would be paired opposite Vijay Deverakonda in this film. However, recent updates suggest that Sreeleela had to opt out due to scheduling conflicts with her other commitments.

Sreeleela is currently one of the most sought-after actresses in the South Indian film industry, with a series of projects lined up in her busy schedule. 

Consequently, it was decided that she would be replaced by Rashmika Mandanna, who has previously worked with Vijay Deverakonda in "Geetha Govindam" and "Dear Comrade".

For the unversed, Gowtam Tinnanuri's "VD12" holds special significance for Vijay Deverakonda, as it marks his first portrayal of a police officer on screen. Alongside the lead actors, the film also features notable performances by Keshav Deepak and Manikanta Varanasi. The director had earlier unveiled this exciting project through his social media platforms.

As for Vijay Deverakonda's work front, his recent outing in "Kushi" alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu garnered significant attention.
