Actor Ranveer Singh's fascinating and colorful role of Simmba is set to be reprised soon. The actor's portrayal of a fun cop in the Rohit Shetty directorial was loved by fans and seems like a second part is in the pipeline. Speaking to a news portal, Ranveer stated that Simmba was always intended to be a franchise and he is always ready to play his favourite character again for the sequel. Simmba released in 2018 and starred Sara Ali Khan opposite Ranveer. Last year Ranveer reprised his role of Simmba for a cameo in Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi.
However, before Simmba 2 happens, Singh and Shetty have collaborated for another entertainer. The hit actor-director duo is working on ‘Cirkus’, which is touted to be a comedy of errors. The film features Pooja Hegde as the leading lady opposite Ranveer. Apart from this, Ranveer Singh will also be seen in Karan Johar’s directorial ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, romancing Alia Bhatt. This light-hearted, quickly love story also stars Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles.
Recently, Singh was seen in 83 which was loved by critics but did not manage to do the big numbers expected out of it.
