'Ramayan' actor Dipika Chikhlia bags a new film, starts shooting February 15th

We all know how the 90s Ramayana TV show turned out to be a massive hit and  not just that but achieved a cult status too.

However, it was the show's rerun on Doordarshan recently that managed to get further record-breaking eyeballs. The pandemic period where everyone was in a lockdown had Ramayana getting a re-run and the show grabbed immense viewership just like the old times.

This also gave actors Arun Govil and Dipika Chikhlia, who played Ram and Sita respectively - further new found popularity and new opportunities as well. On that note, Chikhlia has now go on to bag a new film and an important character in the film. The actor, who did appear in some films back then made a return with the 2018 Gujarati film, Natsamrat and will now be seen in Manoj Giri Gaalib's upcoming film. And while that film is set to release next month, she has already bagged yet another one that is set to be rolling from February 2021.

It is said that Karan Razdan will be producing and directing the film which revolved around two religions. Chikhlia is expected to start shooting in Uttarakhand from 15th February. That schedule is expected to be of 10 days and following that, Chikhlia will be back in Mumbai.
