The news of Sanjay Dutt being diagnosed with cancer sent shockwaves across the nation in 2020 and actor has successfully recovered from Cancer and is on a road to recovery. 

Dutt’s dear friend and colleague Rahul Mittra has provided the actor’s health update, who recently underwent cancer treatment.

Mittra in his interview with Times of India recalled the moment he was informed of the Munna Bhai actor’s diagnosis, and said, "I still cannot forget the first time I spoke to him after it was confirmed that he had the Big C. I broke down on the phone and told him to promise me that he would come out of it. And he promised. He told me that I should take care of myself as friends have to be strong. It was so reassuring.” 

The filmmaker further added about Sanjay's determination and courage to fight his cancer battle and said, “Sanju is a rock. He was determined to defeat cancer. Hats off to his will-power."

The Torbaaz producer also gave an update about Dutt’s health as he continued, 

There's so much to learn from him, he's a fighter, he's a survivor, he's a winner. His latest MRI and PET scan says he is cancer free. Touch wood.
