Raashii Khanna - "I always wanted to be an IAS officer; destiny brought me to cinema"

Raashii Khanna, who is all set to amaze her fans with the upcoming actioner ‘Yodha’, opened up about the Sidharth Malhotra-starrer and how she felt like a newcomer during the trailer launch of the film. While talking about what took her so long to do a Hindi film, she stated that she wanted a script that made sense.

Raashii said, 

“I was like only if it makes sense, if the script makes sense. I have to love the character. It has to be a good package for me to come into it and this film was that.” 

The actress further stated, "I feel it's like a paisa vasool film," adding that it has "thrilling elements," "romance," and " an edge-of-the-seat thriller.” Raashii expressed how she was nervous when the trailer was launched because she wasn’t sure of how she would be received in Hindi films, stating, “There was so much anticipation, there was so much nervousness.“

Talking about how she wanted to become an IAS officer, she said, “I have always wanted to be an IAS officer, and I think destiny brought me into cinema. I was very lucky to play this role because I saw that side! I play the role of a government official who is responsible for negotiations. There was always this intensity on set, while reading the script they said that you’re the “lady Yodha” on ground who’s negotiating and I realised the importance of communication, and how important it is in such situations. So there is a lot I take away from this film”

‘Yodha’, featuring Raashii Khanna and Sidharth Malhotra in the lead, also stars Disha Patani in a pivotal role. Directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha, ‘Yodha’ is all set for a theatrical release on March 15, 2024.
