"We plan to tie the knot by this year's end" - Kunal Jaisingh

Over the weekend, the fans of actor Kunal Jaisingh were in for a pleasant surprise as the actor and long-time girlfriend, Bharati Kumar solemnized their relationship and got engaged. The roka ceremony happened at Iskon Temple, Juhu with close friends and families in attendance only.

In fact, Kunal Jaisingh, who spoke to us about his hush-hush engagement revealed that all his friends who were present at the engagement, had actually gatecrashed the ceremony.

"Everything was decided and happened in a span of less than 5 days. So we really did not have time to sit down and write a guest list. So when my friends (Palak Jain, Manav Gohil, Shweta Kawatra and Pratap Hada) found out, they gatecrashed our ceremony," revealed Kunal.

Kunal and Bharati never came out in the open about their relationship. When quizzed over the same, Kunal said, "Both Bharati and I wanted to announce our relationship after things became more official, and when we decided to take our relationship to the next level. Either ways, I am a very private person and do not speak up or talk about things until they are finalised in a certain way. It was a conscious decision to not come out in public."

Opening up about the wedding plans, Kunal mentioned that the couple plans to tie the knot by this year end, "Nothing has been decided yet, but we are looking at the year end. And our wedding will be a simple affair."

And with Ishqbaaaz taking up most of his time, Kunal is counting on his family to help him with all the wedding preparations, "Here's when family comes into play."

Kunal and Bharati will get married in Mumbai and their wedding will be a mix of Sindhi and Punjabi rituals. "I am a Sindhi and Bharati is a Punjabi. So it will be a mix of both," revealed Kunal.

So how did love happen? "It was instant attraction for me, but for Bharati it was just friendship. Our relationship evolved from us becoming really close friends to falling in love and deciding to move forward in our relationship," said Kunal.

While the roka ceremony saw only family in attendance, Kunal plans to throw a huge party for all of the couple's friends from the industry before the wedding.
