Ishq Mein Marjawan on Colors is the story of Deep Raichand (Arjun Bijlani), a rich businessman and Aarohi Kashyap (Aalisha Panwar). The countdown has begun as the show goes on-air tomorrow.

We at India-forums got in touch with the leads and in a candid conversation with us, here are all the things they said.

The promos have been quite confusing and no one knows what is happening. What do you have to say about that?

Arjun: Well, not confusing, but they keep the curiosity intact I would say. People want to know what is going to happen ahead, first the girl is going to jail then the guy is going to jail. They don't know what is happening and that is the idea of the promo because that is how they come to know if or not they want to watch the show.

I think the promos have brought us a great response, the story is also different and twisted; the story is basically about Aarohi and Deep's unconditional love and how it lands them in unwanted circumstances. All that happens after that, when there is betrayal and the trust is broken, the story has all those intricate details which the viewers will love watching. As the story unfolds, the viewers will get to see a new aspect to the story.

Both your characters have multiple layers to it. There is more than just a positive and negative side to it. Is there any homework that you had to do?

Arjun: Of course yes, I did a lot of homework in terms of watching a lot of shows and movies, I have been reading; all the little that I can do. Yash Patnaik had given two-three references as well and obviously all that has helped me a lot with the director's help. It is equally important to do workshops with the directors so we've done all of that. We've done all that we could.

Aalisha: Even I have indeed worked a lot when I got the character brief. After I got the brief I saw some references to get hold of the character, I have also done workshops with the director wherein we used to sit and work on the character. We've done a lot of work and it is only now that the audience's feedback that will determine the outcome.

Talking about the slot, it is a 7:30 pm time slot and you've been a prime time hero. Anything you'd like to say about that?

Arjun: Actually I wasn't expecting a 7:30 pm time slot. I thought it'll be a little later. However, I think Colors has made a sensible decision and they know things better. I don't understand much of all this but I know that 7:30 has been the time slot for a very popular show, Sasural Simar Ka and it had its own set of audience.

There is a lot of speculation about you being a part of Naagin 3. Comment.

Arjun: (smiles) Well I don't think you should be asking this question to me, this is a question for the makers and the channel. However, I would love to be a part of it, and I really want to do it. I am not saying no to anything, but I don't know if I'll be doing it or not. Right now, I am excited for Ishq Mein Marjawan and we'll talk about Naagin when it is time.

We wish Arjun and Aalisha all the best with their upcoming venture.

guess psychopaths are not just restricted to the show Ishq mein Marjawan, we have a few psychopaths here in IF as well, who keep coming back to share their views on that "same face" even when they are not interested in him. ROFL

the first episode of IMMJ was great, since the forum is not open yet, thought to share here in the comments

Arjun as Deep Raichand rocked in the episode with his style and persona.

I'm happy to see Arjun finally on colors as I truly believe they do justice with his talent, after his talent being wasted in PMHMD..I'm waiting for this show to go on air and it surely looks his best role so far

The trailer really peaked my interest. It actually looks different from the barrage of shows available - with the twists, the mind games, murder etc. But many shows start with really interesting concepts and do good for 2/3 months before falling in the same old cliched storyline. Hope this show rises above all such cliches.

First of all, Arjun should really take a long break after this show.
I'm literally bored seeing this Same face again and again.
And second, he and the actress don't look good together
Should've opted for a better and older actress.
The age gap is too apparent

all the best to Arjun and the entire team. trying out something different always involves immense risk, so this show needs all the support possible.
