Actors, these days, are exploring mediums and nobody is shying away from experimenting with genres, co-stars, and most importantly, the digital medium. With actors across all mediums making their digital debut, there sure is a long way that the web has in store for the audience.

Rajeev Khandelwal, who made his digital debut with ALTBalaji's Haq Se, has received grave response for his role of Dr. Naushad Rizvi. However, the actor has constantly made a mention about not being the hero of the series. We quizzed him about this, and he said, "This is the truth, there are many principal characters in the show, and I am just one of them. The story is about the Mirza family, and I am playing one of the characters which is very interesting and exciting, but the show isn't about me and I am not the poster boy. Having said that, you cannot ignore me, my character will generate a lot of reactions and you will want to see more of him."

With the kind of evolution that the digital medium is making, we also asked him if he thinks the digital medium will overpower TV in the future, to which he said, "With time everything changes, change is the only constant and I don't know what will happen tomorrow. I probably would know that there will be many versions of viewing that will come up, technology will keep evolving and the nature of shows will keep changing, the nature of entertainment will keep changing. I do not know what happens 6 months from now, but there is going to be a set audience for the web, there is an existing audience for Television and films as well, and there are actors who are doing it, actors who are prominent, who are popular, and actors who are talented. They are being a part of all the mediums. I am being part of all three, any thing that comes my way."

On the differentiation that TV and Bollywood actors witness when they appear on the web, he further stated, "I don't understand what is the idea of calling 'TV actor' joining the web series, 'Bollywood actors' joining the series; I wonder what will they say in the time to come, they will have to write this 'Web Actor...' How do you address me? So eventually it will educate Indian media that actors are actors, whichever medium they are working in doesn't matter. So in web, probably, they will call an actor an actor, and that's the only difference I see."
