Prabhas opens up on the failure of 'Radhe Shyam'

After Baahubali, we all know how actor Prabhas became a brand in himself and has only starred in and signed on for the biggest of projects ever since. Right after Baahubali series, he starred in Saaho, which received negative reviews but was a blockbuster nevertheless.

While he also has another array of films set to be rolling soon, his latest release was the fantasy romance saga, Radhe Shyam. To the surprise of many, the film bombed at the box office and even the most ardent Prabhas fans did not accept the film. 

Recently, Prabhas went on to open up on the same in an interview with a news portal. He mentioned that it could be because of COVID-19 or maybe they missed something in the script. Radhe Shyam, in essence was a period love drama and the actor also added that maybe the audience doesn’t want to watch him in love stories, which is why the film may have tanked.

Earlier when Prabhas talked about audience's expectations from him, he said how the fans want to see him as Baahubali and they want that image every time. For him, as an actor that isn't exciting though. He then added that of course he enjoys after he takes up such a project as we have grown up watching films like Spider-Man, Superman and so on and he will do such films indeed. But at the same time, he also wants to smaller films and wants to do something different in terms of storytelling that entertains the audience as well.

Coming to his mega movie projects, he has Adipurush, Project K and Salaar lined up which are all huge scale films.
