Prabhas fans rejoice: Kalki 2898 AD teaser certified, set to unveil over Sankranthi holidays

Prabhas, the beloved Tollywood star, gained nationwide fame post the monumental success of Baahubali. Fans and cinema enthusiasts eagerly await his films, drawn to the allure of larger-than-life cinema. Now, just 20 days after the release of Salaar, Prabhas enthusiasts have another reason to celebrate.

The highly anticipated teaser of Kalki 2898 AD has received certification from the censor board, boasting a length of 1 minute and 23 seconds. Directed by Nag Ashwin, this big-budget science-fiction film was initially slated for a Sankranthi 2024 release. However, due to extensive post-production efforts, the release date was postponed.

To bring joy to fans during the Sankranthi holidays, the makers plan to unveil the first teaser of Kalki 2898 AD. 

The ensemble cast includes not only Prabhas but also megastars like Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone. 

Vyjayanti Movies, the producers, have been assertive in promoting this sci-fi venture. From participating in the USA Comic Con last year with director Nag Ashwin, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone to leveraging social media for extensive advertising, every opportunity has been seized to showcase this magnum opus.

Beyond Kalki 2898 AD, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan have a slew of other releases in the pipeline. Prabhas will feature in a horror-comedy directed by Maruthi and Spirit by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Deepika Padukone gears up for Fighter, while Kamal Haasan is set to grace the screen with Indian 2, Indian 3, Thug Life directed by Mani Ratnam, and several films within the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, continuing his role as Vikram.
