Former Union minister and Tollywood actor U.V. Krishnam Raju left the nation shocked. Raju, also known as Rebel Star, passed away at the age of 83 on Sunday morning in this city's AIG Hospital.
To let his supporters pay their respects, his mortal remains were moved to his home, where they will remain until Monday afternoon. His nephew and actor Prabhas was inconsolable as he arrived at his residence to pay last respects to his late uncle. As he came at his home to pay his last respects to his deceased uncle, actor Prabhas, his nephew, was inconsolable.
On social media, there are a number of images and videos of the actor crying that are going viral. And his celebrity friends Mahesh Babu and megastar Chiranjeevi were there to comfort him.
Uppalapati Krishnam Raju passed away in the wee hours on Sunday. He is survived by his wife and three daughters. Krishnam Raju, who is referred to as the "Rebel Star" of Tollywood, has appeared in more than 180 films over the course of a five-decade acting career.
Krishnam Raju has appeared in a variety of films, including historical and mythical as well as social, family, romantic, and thriller films. The actor's most recent film appearance was in "Radhe Shyam," which starred Prabhas and Pooja Hegde.
His death saw tributes pouring in from the film and political fraternity, with PM Narendra Modi, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, and actors Chiranjeevi, Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, Anushka Shetty, and Nikhil Siddhartha posting about him on social media. Krishnam Raju’s mortal remains are kept at his house till Monday when he will be cremated with full state honours.
