Olivia Newton-John, Grease star passes away at 73; Priyanka Chopra and Tara Sutaria mourn her loss

Olivia Newton-John, the star of the beloved film musical Grease, passed away on Monday at the age of 76. Her husband, John Easterling, issued a message on Newton-social John's media accounts announcing her death. Emotional tributes to the late four-time Grammy winner have poured in.

Actress Priyanka Chopra took to her social media account and shared a picture of the actress in her stories. With the picture, she wrote, "Rest In Peace Olivia-Newton John. Your legacy will always shine on." She shared another picture with the message, "Thinking of you and your family".

Tara Sutaria also took to her Instagram stories and penned a note for the actress. It read, "Heart broken.. The reason I do what I do today. You will never be forgotten, sweet, simple, elegant, and graceful Sandra dee.. forever in my heart and in the music you left behind. hopelessly devoted to you. ONJ no one like you!!".

She also shared another post of ONJ with a broken heart. 

The statement shared by the late actress' husband said, "Dame Olivia Newton-John passed away peacefully at her Ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends. We ask that everyone please respect the family's privacy during this very difficult time." 

The statement further added, "Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer. Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, dedicated to researching plant medicine and cancer."

Newton-John stated in May 2017 that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer.
