Well, it looks like Bridgerton is finally going to get a season 2 after all, and Netflix has teased about it as well. Created by Chris Van Dusen, the announcement was made by none other than the narrator of the show herself, Lady Whistledown, voiced by Julie Andrews.

It has been confirmed by the Lady Whsitledown's Society Paper that a second season is on its way and it will focus on the marriage of the eldest Bridgerton sibling, Anthony. The role is essayed by Jonathan Bailey, and is the subject of the second book of Julia Quinn's series for the second season - The Viscount Who Loved Me. The shooting is supposed to start in spring in the UK.

While the information about the production has been confirmed, it looks like the entire cast will be returning, and also a female lead opposite Anthony has been grabbing a lot of eyeballs. Dusen confirmed the addition of a bunch of new characters as well and Anthony's love saga shall be one to look forward to.

As for the Viscount, i.e. Anthony, Dusen said, ''We left him at the end of the first season at a bit of a crossroads, so I’m looking forward to jumping in and discovering how he fares on the marriage market.''

We already saw the first part of the series narrate the tale of the Duke and the eldest Bridgerton daughter, Duke of Hastings (Rege Jean Page) and Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor). The book has a total of 8 novels and that means each season is likely to follow the lives of each of the siblings and that is sure to be intriguing to watch.
