The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has opposed the bail pleas of Aryan Khan and other accused in connection with drug seizure on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast.

A Mumbai court on Friday rejected Aryan’s bail plea after which he was sent to Arthur Jail.

The bail plea hearing is underway at the Mumbai session court. Additional solicitor general Anil Singh, the highest Central law officer in the state, is representing the NCB.

In reply to Aryan Khan's bail plea the NCB stated that there is sufficient material in form of WhatsApp chats, pictures, etc to show that he was an active part of an illicit drug chain with other co-accused persons.

Hence, abetment and conspiracy sections would apply as also the rigor under section 37 against the grant of bail.

Senior advocate Amit Desai representing Aryan Khan has argued saying,

"Aryan Khan had no plans to consume or sell drugs. The heart of the NCB case is that all accused are “inextricably connected” with each other and conspiracy and that Khan used to purchase Charas from Merchant. NCB has made allegations of international drug chain. NCB's reply is a well drafted document which says connection with other accused. The NCB has used a very frightening term ‘illicit trafficking” and just dumped it on Aryan Khan."

The anti-drug agency said,

"As per investigations carried out so far, accused Aachit Kumar and Shivraj Harijan had supplied Charas to Aryan Khan and Arbaaz Merchant."

While the bail plea is undergoing in the sessions Court fans continue showering their support for SRK trending 'WeloveyouSRK' on twitter.

Aryan Khan, 23, was arrested along with his friend Arbaaz Merchant and six others after the ship's drugs raid.

A total of 20 people, including two Nigerian nationals, have been arrested so far in the case related to the seizure of drugs following a raid at a party on the Cordelia cruise ship off the Mumbai coast on October 2.
