This February it's all about love. Some love stories luckily end up into marriage but anyone ever wonders about the potential side effects of marriage. Shaadi Ke Side Effects is a much anticipated rom-com film with the fresh lead pairing of handsome hunk Farhan Akhtar, with the stunning Vidya Balan. The flick is written as well as directed by Saket Chaudhary, and produced under the Balaji Telefilms banner. It's soundtrack comprises of seven original songs and a few remixes, all of which are composed by renowned man of 2013, Pritam Chakraborty. Lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya does not leave any stone unturned in accompanying Pritam. A guest composer appeared for the track "Ahista Ahista". Read on to know what BollyCurry thinks of the music album as a whole.

We begin with "Harry Not a Brahmachari", which brings to us the combo of Jazzy B and Divya Kumar in some amusing Punjabi folk and techno music along with a little bit of rap by the side. A track with the potential to groove you on the floors has three versions, one being the original song, the second, a remix by DJ Angel and the third, a rap by IshQ Bector. Unable to decide which one sounds better, if any, this track hasn't caught the attention in was originally intended to.

Second in hand is "I'm Sorry Par Tumse Pyar Ho Gaya". Often referred to as "The Hey Song" by various critics and fans, it is sung by Nikhil Paul George, Neeti Mohan and Mili Nair. The trio gives a quite well done finishing with the use of instrumental pieces followed by a smooth violin play in the background. This track brings a fresh feel unlike the generic songs we have witnessed in the past years. It is sure to be used and featured for days to come.

Lending their voices for "Tauba Main Vyaah Karke Pachtaya" are Shahid Mallya, Poorvi Koutish and Alam Lohar. This is a traditional Punjabi folk song, and its quite similar to "Pyaar Karke Pachtaya" from the movie Pyaar Ke Side Effects, which was a hit among the audience. This track has been reigning the music charts with the hope it leaves a mark. This track also has two other versions; a slow R&B style, as well as a typical Punjabi blended one.

"Desi Romance" is sung by Suchi and now celebrated Arijit Singh. A complete fusion of classical tunes with a slow slope into a modern party-type melody, this fusion is quite different but definitely gives rise to a potentially good track, considering the speed at which Singh's popularity and voice is being appreciated.

The boss himself lends his voice in "Yahaan Vahaan". Farhan Akhtar expresses this song exceptionally well with immense depth and emotions that no matter what you are doing, while listening to this track, you are bound to feel a blood rush. Akhtar's previous records of songs has been very supreme, and this one is no less of a perfection.

The melodious voice of Mohit Chauhan in "Bawla Sa Sapna" is soothing to one's ears with its instrumental pieces that go perfectly with the song. Chauhan flawlessly takes the track forward, which is lovable, yet does not give a new feel to it other than it's simple swiftness. The track carries another version to it; "The Children Come To Sing" which is sung by Diva. As imagined, the children's version sounds far better than the original.

"Ahista Ahista" is yet another emotional number by Farhan Akhtar. Once again, Akhtar stays true to his nature and elegantly expresses this track and the emotions attached to the scene. The instruments are very very slow, it takes time to work in, but you surely find it worth the wait.

Shaadi Ke Side Effects is a quite a power-packed album, considering the recent blunders that we have witnessed in 2013. Certain tracks may not appease everyone, but there's surely one among all which you can favourite. BollyCurry wishes its very best to Vidya Balan Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar for the upcoming release of February 28th, 2014.
