Mrinal Dutt, Kannan Arunachalam and Anil George join ALTBalaji’s action drama Cartel

The hype around ALTBalaji and MX Player’s new action-drama Cartel has been insane. Furthermore, the introduction of three new cast members – Mrinal Dutt, Kannan Arunachalam, and Anil George, is just going to add to the hype. Having worked on shows like ALTBalaji’s His Storyy, and such, actor Mrinal Dutt will be seen playing Yograj. The actor will be seen in a role that is going to be drastically opposite to what Preet was in His Storyy. Along with him will be veteran actor Kannan Arunachalam who is best known for his work in Madras Café, Commando 2, and also Sacred Games. The multi-faceted actor will play the character of Anna. Another character that is going to make this show interesting with his sly, manipulative, and strong personality is Khan Sahab, played by Anil George who has worked on the likes of projects such as Mirzapur, Sadak 2, and War. 

Mrinal remained unavailable for a comment. Kannan on the other hand talking about his character said, “I play Anna in the show. He is one of the gang leaders amongst the five different Cartels. Anna is someone who is temperamental, impatient, and quite brutal and lethal. He is dangerous.” Anil George on the other hand showed his excitement being a part of this show. He said, “In Cartel, I have become a bhai of Mahim area in Mumbai. He is completely different from others in his own way. It has its own story. The character is basically Qureshi, who is in the business of slaughtering goats. However, he is more than just cruel and which is why people are really afraid of him.”

Being one of the most ambitious projects that ALTBalaji has undertaken, Cartel is set-in present-day Mumbai. It has a story packed with intense action, drama, power play, and much more and it’s cast includes the likes of actors like Supriya Pathak, Tanuj Virwani, Jitendra Joshi, Rithvik Dhanjani, Pranati Rai Prakash, Divya Agarwal, Girija Oak Godbole, Jitendra Joshi, Ameya Wagh, Monica Dogra, Vikram Kocchar, Vibhav Roy, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Sanaya Pithawala, Mayur More, Mrinal Dutt, Krishna Kaul, Aditi Vasudev, Kewal Dassani, Kannan Arunachalam, Sushrii Mishra, Anil George, and others.
