Movies of 2016 which rocked the Box Office!

The year 2016 has witnessed some big blockbuster movies! Here is the list of movies which rocked the Box Office in the year 2016

Airlift:

The first most awaited film of the year 2016 was the Akshay Kumar starrer film, Airlift. Bang on opening of the year! The film which was based on true events occurred during the Kuwait war, revoked the national feeling in the citizens of India.

Neerja:

The Sonam Kapoor starrrer film garnered a lot of appreciation from critics as well as the audience. The film is based on the real life story of late flight attendant Neerja Bhanot who lost her life while saving the lives of passengers who were on board. Sonam's performance in the film was really incredible but people had associated more with the bravery of Neerja who had the guts and gumption to save so many people, sacrificing her own life for the sake of others at the ripe age of 22, simultaneously fighting and overcoming her failed marriage.

Kapoor & Sons:

The film won the hearts of audience with a simple family drama yet with a great story! The film had all the elements to make you laugh, cry and dance all at the same time.

Fan:

The film unveiled the never seen before look of Shah Rukh Khan and the character played by SRK will make you fall in love. With Fan, Shah Rukh again proved that he can he is not just the romantic hero but also an action hero!

Housefull 3:

The high on comedy film directed by the Sajid Farhad had successfully made the audience burst out with laughter. It was movie where you had to keep your brains and logic aside and experience this joyride. It was a wholesome ENTERTAINMENT of the summer!

Udta Punjab:

The first movie of the year which sparked a big controversy because of the cuts did by the censor board of India. The whole film fraternity stood together for the film which portrayed how things are in Punjab! With all the hype it created in the media for its "expression of creative freedom" is worth a watch for Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh acting and Chaubey's direction. The issue of 'Substance abuse' is just addition to that!

Sultan:

Of Course it's a Salman Khan movie, it has to be a hit! Sultan was one of the blockbuster of the year with the collection of whooping 300 crores! The film has drama, love, heart-break , in short it deserved to be the blockbuster of the year!

Pink:

One of the most acclaimed courtroom drama of Bollywood. Pink was declared hit as soon as it got released. Thanks to the amazing performance of Amitabh Bachchan. Pink is one of the movie's which has directly attacked existing feudal mindset of a majority of India, where men and women are judged on basis of gender. Where Men are held superior to women and if the man happens to be from a powerful family, then the fight for justice for the women gets really tough.The film was loved by the audiences and the critics all over.

M.S.Dhoni: The Untold Story :

The movie was a total sixer! It is one of the most greatly admired movies of 2016. The film has been loved by the audiences across all quarters and has been declared as one of the celebrated biopics of 2016. The untold journey of the Captain cool Ms Dhoni  had struck an instant chord with people.

Shivaay:

Ajay Devgn's ambitious project 'Shivaay' failed to pull the audience into the theatres as compared Ae Dil Hai Mushkil which was released on the same day. But still managed to be in one of the best movies of the year considering the Box Office collections!

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil:

The film which was surrounded by controversies due to the presence of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, was finally released on it's scheduled date, October 28. The stars of the film, Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan amazed everyone with their performance they delivered! Jr. RK and Anushka steals the show!

Dear Zindagi:

The film is a movie that cannot be judged but only felt. It does not have any masala or entertainment factor but it is a simple story that has been put up very beautifully and in a sweet manner. The incidences of many of our day-to-day lives have been fetched out and portrayed on the big screens. But, what makes it different is the unique concept where SRK gives solutions to solve these issues in a very peaceful manner.

Dangal:

It would be a cardinal sin if Dangal is not there on the top of the list, the Aamir Khan starrer has touched the nation's soul. Everyone have delivered a stunning performance. From the story writer, director, music composer to actors each one has contributed equally! Looks like Aamir saved the movie for the last!
