Every year with new season of Koffee with Karan, excitement is palpable and ever growing. Mainly because you see some new faces, interesting pairs. The season five, which came out in 2016, saw a number of new faces grace the koffee couch. Here’s a list of season five debutants and debutantes. 1. Twinkle Khanna a.k.a Mrs Funnybones

One of the sassiest, funniest guest on Karan Johar’s chat show, Twinkle Kahnna, made her debut on the couch in 2016, with her husband Akshay Kumar! From making politically incorrect statements to coming up with the cheekiest of answers, Twinkle won hearts and that’s not it! The couple talked of their love story, engaged in some banter and adorably slow danced to Frank Sinatra’s ‘Strangers in the Night’.

2. Sohail and Arbaaz

Marking the 100th episode of Koffee with Karan, the trio brothers took to Karan’s couch and submitted gracefully to his grilling. This marked as the debut of Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan and no episode this season has met with the kind of response that the this one did! What was clearly evident was the close bond the brothers share, which made the episode triple the fun!

The three of them took nostalgic trips to their childhood days and talked of the Khaan-daan, women in life of Salman Khan, Sohail’s wedding, Arbaaz with his Bermuda triangle of a bedroom, and that’s not it, they all did a fun rendition of ‘Jumme Ki Raat Hai’, complete with sound effects.

3. Mira Kapoor

In season five, Karan got Shahid Kapoor and his media-shy wife Mira Rajput to appear on the couch. Mira wowed us with her confidence on her first ever talk show. The lady did not just level up with her industry veteran husband but surpassed him with her candid replies. Unabashed and unintimidated, she definitely killed her debut on the Koffee couch and made it worth a watch.

4. Sania Mirza

The season five line-up got more exciting by the day – the ace tennis player, Sania Mirza, made her debut with Farah Khan. Well one would wonder why such a strange pair? Well this would surprise you – it's because they've been close friends for almost eight years and are quite fond of each other despite belonging to different industries.

And what a perfect pair, with Farah’s bold, savage and sassiest answers, Sania perfectly complimented her with simple yet sweet answers.

5. Jacqueline Fernandez

All about dirty secrets, high on humor, this episode of Koffee with Karan, was filled with oodles of laughter and absolutely fun-poking that turned out to be so so entertaining! This debut episode of Jacqueline was all about her chemistry with her couch buddy, Sidharth Malhotra, fantastic one-liners, and all that flirting. Jacqueline was the clear winner, she was funnier than ever and will have you rolling on the floor laughing.

6. Tiger Shroff

The SOTY 2 star made his debut with his father in season five. This father-son duo nailed it with their revelations. They spoke their heart out about their life. One of the most light-hearted conversations, this episode had Jackie confess his for Madhuri Dixit. For the first time on Koffee with Karan, a father-son duo was seated on the same couch and there were no barriers in the conversation. From crushes to sex to box office failures Tiger revealed everything in front of his father! The mix of Jackie's quirkiness and Tiger Shroff's coyness was indeed delightful to watch.

7. Kapil Sharma

Comedian and actor Kapil Sharma also made it to the Koffee couch. The episode which started off with Kapil saying “My English is over” to Kapil getting candid about his many secrets like how he once gatecrashed Shahrukh Khan’s party, his journey so far, his crushes so far, his marriage plans and also going on to translating some Hindi phrases to English. This surely marked as one of the humblest episode of season five!

8. Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra!

The Dangal sisters, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sanya Malhotra, joined the long list of celebrities who made it to Karan’s couch! Companied by the superstar Amir Khan, this episode was all about the bond the trio have managed to develop and their friendship is palpable and infectious. From their Dangal journey to Aamir competing with his inner self in the Rapid Fire round; from Sanya and Fatima schooling Aamir in popular culture to Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif opening up on Aamir, this episode of KWK with the Dangal trio, was a killer one!
