The Met Gala 2023 has officially kickstarted and we are in for a fashion ball as every celebrity on the red carpet pays a homage to the renowned designer Karl Lagerfeld.
While many have already started appearing with their ‘Karl-touch’ themed fits, we all had our eyes set for the Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt who is making her debut at the event this year. For her Met Gala debut, she chose Nepalese-American designer Prabal Gurung. Alia went for a ball gown look ditching any dramatic sleeves and headgear’s. The beautiful all-white ensemble complied with the evening's "in honour of Karl" dress code. The design, which had a dramatic sheer train and hundreds and thousands of pearl beads, is a perfect princess bride, which was undoubtedly a repeating subject in Lagerfeld's decades-long body of work.
She was also seen wearing a single fingerless gown, which was Lagerfeld’s signature and personal favourite. Keeping her makeup simple Alia Bhatt let her outfit talk. Going for a matte look, she played with nudes and chose a delicate pearl based earring for the accessory bit. She left her tresses open and pulled back the front strands for a sleek look.
Alia’s designer for the night, Gurung too embraced the flawless all-white vibe in his own way. The designer, who is a member of the well-known House of Slay, wore a white satin blazer over a low-cut shirt and several silver jewellery.
The 30-year-old Bhatt is quickly establishing herself in Hollywood and on the global fashion arena. The actor will star in the August release of the Netflix spy movie Heart of Stone starring Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan.
Alia Bhatt recently embraced motherhood and is a mom a to a beautiful angel named Raha. She tied the knot to Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor in April 2022.
