Dialogue writer and lyricist Manoj Muntashir has issued an unconditional apology after the release of the film Adipurush sparked a major controversy. In a recent note shared on his social media accounts, Manoj acknowledged that the film had hurt people's sentiments and expressed his sincere apologies.

He humbly extended his apologies with folded hands and called upon Lord Bajrang Bali to unite and strengthen the sacred Sanatan culture and the nation. His note read, "I accept people’s emotions have been hurt by Adipurush. With folded hands, I extend my unconditional apologies. May Prabhu Bajrang Bali keep us united and grant us strength to serve our sacred Sanatan and our great nation.🙏."

Following Manoj's apology, people responded to his message. Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, is an adaptation of the epic Ramayana and has faced substantial criticism since its release. Many critics and reviewers voiced their concerns regarding certain dialogues in the film. Some of the dialogues that drew severe backlash include phrases like "marega bete" (your son will die), "bua ka bagicha hain kya" (is this your aunt's garden), and "jalegi tere baap ki" (your father will burn).

In an attempt to address the online outrage and negative reviews, the filmmakers of Adipurush made revisions to the dialogues. However, by then, the damage had already been done. A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed in the Supreme Court seeking the revocation of the film's certification for public exhibition.

The All India Cine Workers Association also wrote a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the Mumbai Police, demanding the registration of a case against the film's producer, director, and writer.

Starring Prabhas as Raghava, Kriti as Janaki, Sunny Singh as Laxman, and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, Adipurush had initially generated high expectations among audiences. However, the negative response to the film's dialogues has overshadowed its release.
