Mahira's grand mom is particular about who she says, I Love You

Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan have been loved for their on-screen chemistry ever since Pakistani drama Humsafar hit the TV screens. Humsafar, which aired on Pakistani TV in 2011, made Fawad and Mahira household names, both in India and Pakistan. Mahira, recently, shared the stage with Simi Garewal at the UK Asian Film Festival in London.

She revealed that her grandmother is still not comfortable with the idea of her working in films. She added that her grandmom is particular about who she says, "I love you," to on screen, "but does not mind Fawad Khan." To which Simi replied, "She does have good taste."

Both Fawad and Mahira have worked in respective Bollywood projects. It was after the Uri attacks the two had to leave India. They made a fan base for themselves.

At the red carpet of an award show recently, when Mahira was asked about the three things fans should know about her, the actress revealed that she will be taking a short break and will be doing less work next year.

"I think they know everything. (laughs) They should know that I'm going to be taking a break. I want to work a little bit less. They already hate me for that but, this year I'm going to be working a bit less," Mahira revealed.

Earlier, while promoting Verna, Mahira was asked about the kind of wedding she would like to have; a grand wedding in Lahore or Karachi or an intimate wedding with close friends and family. The actress revealed, "It's my wedding, I can go anywhere I want. I want a destination wedding if I ever get married again; maybe up north will be nice."
