Mahesh Babu teams up with SS Rajamouli for an epic adventure: Reports

Director SS Rajamouli has unveiled exciting details about his upcoming project, SSMB 29, featuring Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu. In a video shared by Gulte.com, Rajamouli revealed that the film is currently in the pre-production stage. He also pledged to personally introduce Mahesh Babu to his fans in Japan during the movie's release. Rajamouli recently attended a special screening of his blockbuster film RRR in Japan, where he shared the news with enthusiastic fans.

Speaking about SSMB 29, Rajamouli said that they have his next film. And has completed the writing, while they are in the pre-production process. But they haven't finished the casting yet. He further said, 

"Only the main hero is locked, the protagonist of the film is locked. His name is Mahesh Babu, he is a Telugu actor (people hoot). Looks like many of you already know him. He is very handsome. Hopefully, we finish the film a little bit fast and during the release, I will bring him here, and I'll introduce him to you. I'm sure you will love him as well."

Earlier this year, writer Vijayendra Prasad confirmed the completion of the script for SSMB 29, which is rumored to have an estimated budget of ?1000 crore. It has been reported that Mahesh Babu traveled to Germany for this project. Speculations also suggest that the film will draw inspiration from the popular Hollywood adventure series Indiana Jones and incorporate a storyline related to the character Hanuman.

While Mahesh Babu typically commands a fee ranging between ?60 to ?80 crore per film, there are reports suggesting that he may have opted for a profit-sharing arrangement with Rajamouli for SSMB 29. However, official confirmation from the movie's team is still pending.
