Latest news: Pearl V Puri not granted bail

Reports suggested that Pearl V Puri has been granted bail and is currently out after being detained by Mumbai police on alleged rape charges. The same was shared by actress Karishma Tanna as she took to social to inform the same. 

It is being said that charges of rape were by a minor girl and hence, it falls under the POCSO Act. The POCSO Act was established in 2012 to protect minors falling prey to sexual abuse. Reports further suggest that Pearl will be under police custody until June 14. In addition, reports have it that his case will be heard on Monday.

Soon after the news came in, many actors including Krystle Dsouza, Nikki Sharma, Anita Hassanandani came out in support and mentioned how he isn't a man like that. In addition, Ekta Kapoor also wrote a long note on social media clarifying what has been going on and added that he is not guilty.

Nikki Sharma, Pearl's Brahmarakshas co star also told Indi-forums,"I’ve worked with Pearl for around six months and it’s unbelievable what is being reported about him. He is genuinely a nice person. He is very respectful towards everyone and these charges can not be true. As far as what I’ve been reading, it seems like someone is trying to frame him."
