As we know that due to the massive surge in coronavirus cases, especially in Maharashtra, a lot of restrictions have been imposed again and a lockdown of sorts is at play. Owing to this, an array of TV shows have adapted to the situation by relocating their shoot to a different city temporarily. Cities like Delhi, Haryana, Hyderabad and Goa have all multiple shows shooting on a temporary basis.
Also a part of this list of shows is Choti Sardarni. And while we know that actor Kratika Sengar is a part of the show only for a while till Nimrit Ahluwalia returns, for now, the actor is a part of their shoot in Delhi.
Opening up on this experience and shooting in a bio-bubble, Sengar talked about it an interview with ETimes TV. She said, “We are putting up at a hotel in Delhi and have created a bio bubble. That means that all of us cannot step out of the hotel. We have made arrangements for the shoot inside the hotel. It is over a 10-day shoot schedule."
She added, “We were mentally prepared for a lockdown in Mumbai, but didn’t know the dates. The day the lockdown was announced (on April 13), we got just one day to shoot and we tried to shoot as many episodes as we could. We shot episodes for that week’s telecast. We had planned to come to Delhi and the entire cast and crew came here. We started shooting on April 17. I came a day later as I was unwell, I had a bad cold and cough. I had to get a COVID test done - we get it done every 10 days while shooting. I will be in Delhi for another 10 days."
As we know a curfew has been imposed in Mumbai, so when asked if that will affect further shoot, Sengar said, “For the time being, we are continuing with the shoot. Since there are less than 40 people shooting and staying inside the hotel, I think we can continue. However, things may change in the next couple of days.”
We hope situation gets better for one and all overall soon.
