Kanika Maheshwari and husband Ankur Ghai headed for a divorce: Reports

Kanika Maheshwari, renowned for her role in "Diya Aur Baati Hum," is reportedly heading towards a divorce from her husband, Ankur Ghai. The actress, who last appeared in SAB TV's "Dil Diyaan Gallan," has been married to Ankur for the past 11 years.

As reported by ETimes, Kanika and Ankur have been living separately for the past year, and they initiated divorce proceedings three months ago. While Kanika has not officially commented on the matter, ETimes TV sources suggest that the separation is due to compatibility issues and the challenges of maintaining a long-distance marriage.

A source informed the media portal that the couple did make efforts to salvage their marriage. However, with Ankur residing in Delhi and Kanika in Mumbai, the challenges of a long-distance relationship became insurmountable.

In contrast, Ankur, when interviewed by ETimes TV, denied the rumors and insisted that they are not separated, clarifying that their current situation is the result of a long-distance marriage.

Kanika and Ankur have an eight-year-old son named Nanak.
