Jamia Milia Islamia students curate documentary fest

Students at the Jamia Millia Islamia's AJK Mass Communication Research Centre have curated a documentart film festival, called Ainaa, which opened Friday. Six works will be showcased.

Students at the Jamia Millia Islamia's AJK Mass Communication Research Centre have curated a documentart film festival, called Ainaa, which opened Friday. Six works will be showcased.

The movies have been conceptualised, shot, edited and directed by the final year students of the Centre's Master of Arts Convergent Journalism.

A reflection into society, each documentary featured in Ainaa fosters a thought and hopes to leave the audience with a lasting message. Ainaa holds a mirror to society, both to the good and the bad around us, a statement said.

The documentaries that will be shown are - "This Filthy Life" (18 minutes), Kaansutra" (15 minutes), "Please Mind The Gap" (20 minutes), "Head In The Stars" (19 minutes), "What's Wrong With My Islam?" (23 minutes) and "Uncle Bond" (22 minutes).
