Imlie actor Gashmeer Mahajani says ''I don't take constructive criticism lightly''

Gashmeer Mahajani aka Aditya from Star Plus show Imlie, has been receiving a lot of love from the fans. However, there are times when much like every character, the viewers do have certain reactions and thoughts about characters, the storyline, and more. While talking to India Forums, Gashmeer revealed how he deals with what everyone is saying about his character and whether or not he takes them seriously.

Gashmeer said, ''I do take note of every response because sometimes they are not just out of emotions, but constructive criticism also, and if it is the latter, when there are suggestions or something they did not like about my look or they felt something was overdone, I do give it a thought. I don't take that lightly, but if someone is questioning Aditya and express that they don't like it, then that is their personal choice because it is a figment of the imagination and not a real person.''

Nonetheless, he adds, ''If I begin to take that seriously, and people want that Aditya should do this, then I will contaminate the character. If people want something that cannot be the reason why I do something a certain way, what happens should be as per what Aditya should do, and someone will like it while others will not like it. The idea is, you love the character or you hate the character, that is fine, the day you don't feel anything is when you are bad as an actor. If you hate the character, that is fine, and hence, it is okay. What I am doing as Aditya, it is touching them in some way and that means the work is done well.''
