I sat proud, elated: Karan Johar pens touchy note; Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal & others congratulate Sid-Kiara

On February 7, the adored Bollywood duo Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra exchanged vows in a picturesque ceremony. The couple's relatives and close friends attended the intimate wedding, which took place at the Suryagarh Fort in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. After their wedding pictures were out all the B-town celebs started showering Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani with congratulatory messages and much love, on social media. 

Well it is known to all that filmmmaker Karan Johar and Sidharth Malhotra shares a close bond since Sid's debut in Student of the year.

Talking of which Karan took to his social media account and penned a heartfelt note for the two. Sharing a snap from their dreamy wedding Kjo wrote, "I met him a decade and a half ago…. Silent, strong and still so sensitive…. I met her many years after… silent ,strong and so sensitive in equal measure…Then they met each other and i realised in that moment that the these two pillars of strength and dignity can make an irreplaceable bond and create the most magical love story together…. Watching them is a fairy tale that is rooted in tradition and family…As they exchanged vows on a mandap of mohabbat everyone around them felt the pulse…felt the energy… I sat proud, elated and bursting with only love for the two of them! Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, who are good friends with both Sidharth and Kiara, took to their official Instagram accounts to write heartfelt messages for the newlyweds as they began their new lives together. "Congratulations... All the love to you both," wrote Katrina, who shared the wedding picture of her Baar Baar Dekhi co-star and his brid. While Vicky wished his Govinda Naam Mera co-star Kiara by sharing their wedding picture along with a sweet note, that reads: "Congratulations Sid and Kiar!!! Rab dher saari khushiyaan bakshe. May life together be full of eternal bliss."

While Kareena Kapoor Khan too wished the Shershaad duo as she wrote, "Congratulations to this gorgeous couple".  Also Kajol wished them a lifetime of love and happiness as she shared the wedding picture on her Instagram stories.

The wedding, which was an intimate affair, was attended by the couple's family members, a few close friends, and some popular Bollywood celebs including filmmaker Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra, Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput, Juhi Chawla, and others. If the reports are to be believed, Sidharth and Kiara are set to host a grand wedding reception for the film industry friends on February 12, Sunday, St Regis Hotel in Mumbai.
