I have learnt kite flying from the kids of my building: Giaa Manek

As Makar Sakranti is round the corner, people are celebrating it with full zeal and enthusiasm. Different people celebrate this festival in a different way. This festival is also known as Kite flying festival. Our television actors are nonetheless in enjoying the kite flying festival along with their friends or dear ones.

Actress Giaa Manek, enjoys this festival to the fullest every year and like every year, this year too she has special plans to make this festival a memorable one. We speak to Giaa to know more about her plans for the evening and her preparations for the festival.

Giaa shares, "There have been lots of arrangements made for the festival in my building; there will be lots of food and good music. I have invited many of my friends and we will divide ourselves in two teams - Boys vs Girls and both the teams will compete with each other in flying the kites. As I am not shooting this year, so I have got lots of time to prepare myself for the competition. I have learn't kite flying from the kids of my building and I have also got a cut on my finger while I was learning it and now I have put a thick bandage on my finger and now I don't have any fear of any injury while kite flying. We will have a great fun while flying kites in the evening."

We asked Giaa about the delicacies she loves to relish during the festival. She said, "I love to have Tilgud on this festival and I have made Tilgud for everyone and looking forward to enjoy the delicacies arranged by my building people in the evening."

Conveying a message to her fans on this festival, she said, "Try to donate things to the needy people on this days whatever you can. Enjoy the festival and take care of yourselves. Be careful and don't get injured while flying kites like me; it's extremely painful. I love you all."
