The Coronavirus pandemic has disrupted normal everyday life. Various sectors of business, events, entertainment are to be highly affected by this novel virus, and in turn, lead to a tremendous financial crisis.

Amidst the ongoing COVID-19, Bollywood celebrities are stepping forward to create awareness and provide financial assistance in every possible way.

The Greek God of Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan has come forward to help the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation as they battle against the deadly Coronavirus. The actor has donated Rs 20 lakhs to help the BMC staff. “Hrithik has extended his support to the Government of Maharashtra in their endeavour to curb the spread of the pandemic. He had been looking for ways to help the street-level bureaucrats like the BMC workers and other caretakers who are out there and contributed a total amount of Rs 20 lakh to the cause” informed a close source.

South superstar Ram Charan, too came to the rescue as he has donated Rs 70 Lakhs to the Coronavirus relief centres. In his tweet, he mentioned that he is inspired by his 'Guru' - Pawan Kalyan who has donated Rs 1 Crore to the PM Relief Fund and Rs 50 Lakhs to each Andhra Pradesh and Telangana CM Relief Funds to fight the Coronavirus pandemic.

Recently, singer Dhvani Bhanushali donated Rs 50,000 to the Film and Television Producers Guild of India, for daily wage workers whose incomes have stopped due to the pandemic. Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri also came to the rescue of the daily wage workers and took up painting to raise money for such workers by selling his paintings.

Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 cases has reached 452, 168 worldwide, with 649 cases in India.
