“How much did she get paid”: Sonam Kapoor faces backlash on Eid post

As the nation unites to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Eid ul Fitr today, Bollywood celebrities take on social media to wish the fans.

Among others, Sonam Kapoor took to her Instagram handle to share a clip of a song from her debut film ‘Saawariya’ to wish the fans. She wrote: “Eid Mubarak to my sisters and brothers.”

While many fans wished the actress in the comments section, one user seemed unimpressed and made a nasty comment. The user questioned, “ask Sonam Kapoor how much did she get paid for this post.”

Well, Sonam took note of the comment and without replying back, she simply blocked the user. She reported the comment on Instagram for bullying and harassment, and shared a video of the same on her story.

Sonam Kapoor had made her Bollywood debut in 2007 with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Saawariya’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor. The film failed at the box office, and she went on to star  in films like Delhi 6, Aisha, Raanjhanaa, Neerja among others.

She will be seen next in the film ‘Blind’, reportedly a Bollywood remake of 2011 released Korean crime-thriller of the same name.
