Hindi Diwas

One of the most widely spoken languages, Hindi, is ruling the hearts of citizens of the world. September 14 is celebrated as Hindi Diwas every year. While India observes various important days, Hindi Diwas stands out as an occasion that underlines the significance of the Hindi language.

Ankit Gupta, essaying the role of Jahaan in COLORS' 'Junooniyatt', says, "My heart swells with pride when I see the rising popularity of Hindi, a language that's in my blood. People from other countries are embracing many Hindi words. I'm from Meerut, where Hindi is spoken with a certain lilt and gusto. I love observing how differently this language is spoken across different regions of India. Throughout my journey in the television industry, I've experimented with a variety of accents in Hindi. On Hindi Diwas, I send my love to all my Hindi-speaking fans."

Ayub Khan essaying the role of Bijoy Bagchi in COLORS 'Neerja…Ek Nayi Pehchaan' says, "I'm fluent in Hindi and Urdu, but I try to speak in Hindi most of the time. This endearing language has played an instrumental role in making my journey fruitful in the world of Hindi cinema and television. I'm a huge fan of the Hindi authors, poets, writers, and lyricists, who have lent us their beautiful words. It is a privilege to have access to their words. Reading them has shaped the person I am today. I urge parents to encourage their kids to read more in the language because its essence can never be translated."

Archana Gautam, a contestant in COLORS' 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 13', says, "On this Hindi Diwas, let's come together to celebrate the language we use in our daily lives, often without fully realizing its significance. Some people often make fun of me because I'm not fluent in English, but that doesn't demotivate me. It's because I speak my mother tongue, Hindi fluently. I firmly believe that in today's globalized world, we need to value our culture and heritage. I hope the younger generation learns the importance of celebrating Hindi."

Jaswinder Gardner, playing the role of Queen Mainavati in COLORS' 'Shiv Shakti- Tap Tyag Tandav,' says, "As we eagerly explore other languages, it's important to remember the special place our Hindi language holds. I love the shuddh Hindi that's spoken in Shiv Shakti- Tap Tyag Tandav. The magic of the show is that it has its team speaks the same kind of Hindi. This poetic language is the lifeblood of the thoughts and emotions of millions of Indians all over the world. For me, it's not just a means of expression; it's a form of devotion to our roots. Here's wishing everyone a very Happy Hindi Diwas."
