Harman Singha on playing younger Dharmendra in 'RRKPK': There were a lot of questions & apprehensions

Karan Johar's directorial comeback 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in pivotal roles has been making waves all across the world. The film turned out to be a blockbuster hit while garnering love from audiences and critics alike and at the same time soaring at the box office. From the stellar cast to the endearing story, everything seemed to have struck a chord with the viewers. 

In the film actor, Harman Singha was seen playing the character of younger Kawal Ji ie. younger Dharmendra. Recently he got in a conversation with India Forums and talked about his experience of being a part of a Dharma film and portraying young Dharmendra. 

When asked, "It was a big thing to showcase yourself as a younger version of one of the most talented and celebrated actors, How did you feel about it and how was your preparation??

To this, he said, 

"It is a big undertaking playing a younger version of such a legend. From the screen test to the first photo shoot, there were a lot of questions and apprehensions but once we got the look right, it was smooth sailing."

On being a part of a Dharma film he expressed, 

"It’s the biggest moment of my life as an actor and as a person, I’ve grown up watching and loving Karan sir’s movies and to be a part of his world in RRKPK was just magical."  He also added, "I actuallyhad no scenes with the other actors in the film as I was part of the flashback sequence, it felt wonderful to be on such a collaborative set where everyone’s ideas were welcome."

The film which released in theatres on 28th July, 2023 also starred Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan in pivotal roles.
