Prepare to be inspired by a tale of determination, resilience, and the triumph of the human spirit as Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher team up for R Balki's upcoming film, 'Ghoomer.' The makers have recently unveiled the official first-look poster, leaving fans eager for its theatrical release on August 18.

'Ghoomer' is set to take audiences on an emotional roller-coaster, depicting the journey of a paraplegic sportsperson portrayed by Saiyami Kher, who defies all odds to become a remarkable cricketer under the guidance of her coach, played by Abhishek Bachchan. The posters, shared by Abhishek on his social media handle, exude intrigue and promise a riveting storyline. The caption cleverly plays on the protagonist's character, with the phrase "Lefty hai? Left hi hai," hinting at the physically challenged aspect of Saiyami's role.

Saiyami Kher's dedication to her craft shines through as she delves into her character's passion for cricket. The talented actress, who has been an ardent cricket enthusiast since childhood, underwent rigorous training under the guidance of left-arm spinner Murali Kartik. Saiyami's transformation into a left-arm spinner, despite being right-handed, is a testament to her commitment to bringing authenticity to the portrayal of her character.

Talking about her training with Murali Kartik, Saiyami expressed her admiration for the spinner's remarkable style. She mentioned, "Murali Kartik's bowling is as beautiful as it gets. He is a wonderful spinner with an orthodox style—loopy trajectory with good spin and bounce." Her dedication and hard work are sure to add depth and nuance to her performance in 'Ghoomer.'

The excitement surrounding 'Ghoomer' reaches new heights as the film is all set to have its world premiere at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2023 (IFFM) on August 12 at Hoyts, Docklands. Abhishek Bachchan and R Balki expressed their delight and honor at 'Ghoomer' being chosen as the opening film for the prestigious festival. They shared a joint statement, stating, "It's indeed an honor and pleasure for us that 'Ghoomer' will be the opening film at the IFFM. 'Ghoomer' is a story of turning adversity into advantage. A story of innovation when faced with extermination. It is a tribute to the sport and the reservoir of human resilience."

The film's narrative is a celebration of the indomitable human spirit, showcasing how one can rise above challenges and adversities with determination and perseverance.
