Getting to play a different character allows you to grow: Shweta Sinha

Pretty actress Shweta Sinha, also known as Pari of Colors' popular show Sasural Simar Ka, recently enjoyed playing a character that was totally in contrast to her character of Pari.

Recently, there was a track on the show where Pari gets possessed by the Daayan Mohini (Pratyusha Banerjee) and after that Pari turns out to be a Daayan in the Bharadwaj family. Shweta totally enjoyed playing this character and she had a good fun as well. In a candid chat with TellyBuzz, Shweta shares more about her experience of essaying this character.

Talking about her experience essaying this character, Shweta shares, "This was a very powerful role and I thoroughly enjoyed playing Pari possessed by Daayan Mohini. I got something different to perform than regular and the best part about it was that I was allowed to overplay without any limitations and boundaries. I didn't prepare myself for playing this character; it came to me naturally. Playing the same character for more than 4 years is itself is a bit monotonous and then suddenly getting to do something different was a great experience and as an actor also it allows you to grow. So overall it was like a filler that has freshened me up."

When we asked Shweta as what has been the most challenging part for her while essaying the character, she said, "The most challenging part was to change my voice into a heavier one and laughing in a cruel way to bring out a horror effect."  

Along with work, Shweta had a great fun while essaying this character. Sharing more about her off-screen fun with us, she said, "I had to hit everyone in my family, right from Mataji (Jayati Bhatia) to my husband Shailu. In such scenes, we have to be extra careful but I really enjoyed doing the action scene in which I beat my family with a rod so that I reach the pots to break them. In the process, I actually hit few people by mistake and when the shot was repeated, all of them became extra careful; some ran away and some hide behind the sofa or under the table to save themselves."

I hope everyone liked me in the Daayan avatar as some of my fans had asked me earlier that they want to see me doing something different. So I hope they liked Pari as Daayan," concludes the actress.
