From jackets to ice cream: Mohit Malhotra's tricks for staying cool on the sets of Bhagyalakshmi

The summer in Mumbai this year has been exceptionally hot and humid, as is characteristic of the city's climate. With temperatures soaring above 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) and high levels of humidity, residents have been enduring a challenging season. The scorching heat has prompted people to seek respite in air-conditioned spaces and to take precautions to stay hydrated and cool. Despite the discomfort, Mumbaikars have been finding solace in the city's coastal breeze and occasional spells of rainfall, which offer temporary relief from the sweltering conditions. 

Mohit Malhotra, who essays the character of Vikrant in Zee TV's popular show 'Bhagyalakshmi' spoke to us about beating the heat this summer and how, when he has to shoot outdoors in the scorching summer heat, he takes precautions to help himself. Talking to us, he said, ''I mean, it's really hot in the city and, you know, no matter how much you try to switch on the ACS, but, you know, sometimes when you're shooting outdoors and when you're wearing jackets, which are part of the look, it's very difficult to not feel the heat. It gets very sweaty and it gets very tiresome, cumbersome because the heat is so hot. I mean, the weather is so hot lately. So I think the best hack is to enjoy what you have and enjoy good ice cream that makes you feel. Cold from inside, that gives you a good chill effect from inside and it makes you feel better. And not only it does, that also makes you feel good about eating a dessert because I think it's a sugar rush that gives you. So I think that's the way I beat the heat in the city.''
