Mumbai, Oct 2 (IANS) Debutant director Faraz Haider has dedicated a song "Jai jawan" from his forthcoming film "War Chhod Na Yaar" to Indian soldiers. The song is being released on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary Wednesday.

Haider wants to remind people of Gandhi's message of peace and non-violence, said a statement.

While Gandhi used non-violence to spread his message, Haider is using humour as his weapon to put his point across through his movie.

"Jai jawan" is sung by Sukhwinder Singh and its lyrics are penned by Haider.

"War Chhod Na Yaar" features actors Sharman Joshi, Jaaved Jaffrey, Soha Ali Khan, Sanjay Mishra, Mukul Dev and Dalip Tahil. The movie is slated to release Oct 11.

RGV thinks Pawan Kalyan should float his own party

Ace filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) firmly believes the success of Pawan Kalyan's Telugu action-drama "Attarintiki Daaredhi" has proved that he is a star among the masses, and therefore, he should capitalise on it and enter politics immediately.

"I just hope that Pawan Kalyan realises that this earth-shattering success is not because of him but it is because of peoples love towards him. Even after this proof of how much people love him, if Kalyan still doesn't start his own party, he will be the biggest idiot," RGV posted on his Twitter page.

He thinks Chiranjeevi, brother of Pawan Kalyan, who is already into politics, won't be a threat to his entry.

"Pawan Kalyan achieved the peak of Himalaya whereas Chiranjeevi after 40 years is still at the base of that mountain," RGV posted.

Directed by Trivikram, "Attarintiki Daaredhi" opened in cinemas Sep 27 and since then has reportedly minted over Rs.30 crore worldwide.

In the US, it has reportedly raked in over Rs.9 crore in its opening weekend.

The film also features Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Pranitha, Nadhiya and Boman Irani in important roles.
