#Dhanteras: 5 of the RIDICULOUSLY Rich Families On Indian Television!

These shows will definitely give some major competition to the grand sets from Rajshri films.

The festivities for Diwali has begun and before we get to D-Day, today, the 17th of October we celebrate Dhanteras. As the name suggests, the day is associated with showering our respect and prayers to the God of Wealth, and people also take to buying gold, silver, etc on this auspicious occasion.

And, when we talk about all the grandeur and extravagance, it would be impossible to not mention all the jazz and jitter on our Indian TV screens. We at India-forums thought we'd list down a few shows that are no doubt magnificent in looks and feels, but, also seem to be competing with each other in the race to present to the viewers an extravagant picturesque.

#1. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai

Apart from Kyunkli Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, we can safely say, this Star Plus show started it all in the modern times. Glorious weddings, over the top festive celebrations and of course, all the not-everyday-wearable clothes. While on reel, everything is confined to the sets of the show, it sure does come across as a larger than life representation of what actually happen for real.

We cannot forget the weddings that the same show has also created benchmarks with and all those tracks abroad.

#2. Ishqbaaaz

We sure cannot get over all the wide angle shots that the makers have resorted to, making the sets look even more grand. With all that we see on screen, well, we definitely cannot categorize one above the other, or for that matter, which of these would make for a bigger show!

#3. Ishq Mein Marjawan

This Colors show is a relatively new one on the block and with all the beautiful locales that they have shot in, we think we might as well travel the world and turn a spotguys for one of the actors. There is so much to see, so much to show and with Ishq Mein Marjawan, we are sure that with all the money the makers have spent on the production, it makes for a worthy mention on our list.

#4. Dil Se Dil Tak

Yet another Colors show on our list, there is no stopping these daily soaps. Be it the overdressed clothes that they wear to sleep or the grand bedrooms and every place else, the real Dhan lies in the houses of our very own Indian TV shows.

#5. Sasural Simar Ka

Last, but not the least, this one makes it to our list because of all the celebrations that the show has presented to us over the years. What started with the story of two simple middle class sisters was in fact, brought down to nothing but nonsense. However, amidst all of this, something that the makers managed to keep intact was the over the top celebrations, trying to keep up with all the grandeur shown on other shows.
