Coronavirus is a large group of viruses that leads to illnesses ranging from cold and cough to severe respiratory disease and pneumonia. This ugly outbreak is life threatening or is very hard to recover. It started from China and has slowly but gradually started gripping the world and like every walk of life is being affected by it, fashion industry also has been caught in the ugly claws of COVD.
Let’s take a look at how:
Sighting the scary outbreak of Coronavirus, luxury fashion labels like Ralph Lauren, Gucci and Prada have canceled their upcoming shows that were supposed to be held in USA in the coming months.
It isn’t just the labels that are backing off but magnum opus fashion shows like Milan Fashion Week are refusing to host too many people at one place in the coming weeks, till the epidemic is controlled.
MFW has also started an initiative to come out in solidarity for China, with the slogan China We Are With You.
Call it coincidence but at Paris Fashion Week recently before COVD became a major threat, French fashion designer, Marine Serre, had her models wear facemasks with their garments on the runway.
Just like the rest of the world, India also is exposed to the threat of this epidemic. Sighting COVD spread, Fashion Design Council Of India has also called off their upcoming event, Lotus India Fashion Week 2021.
Desperate Housewives star, Eva Longoria who was filming in Italy, informed her fans that she was safe.

Italian fashion designer, Donatella Versace made a whopping 143400 US dollars to Chinese Red Cross Foundation.
It isn't just the fashion industry that is calling off their major events, musicians too have been canning their concerts, owing to the coronavirus outbreak. Sad moment for music lovers!
Back home, tinsel town celebrities are also taking the safety precaution as they have started incorporating face masks in their airport looks.
Earlier last week, Ranbir Kapoor and Varun Dhawan were spotted at the airport wearing a mask. While, Deepika Padukone cancelled her trip to Paris Fashion Week.
Yet another event that drops as a victim of Coronavirus is the annual MET Gala. Fashion's biggest night gets postponed indefinitely.
