CONFIRMED: Ek Rishta Saajhedari Ka to go OFF-AIR; 'Peshwa Bajirao' to REPLACE it!

Sony TV's Ek Rishta Saajhedari Ka had a great launch in the month of August. The story of howthe traditional arranged marriage set up works, how a wedding is the union of not only the two souls but of the both families.
But as they say, all good things have to come to an end. The makers have now decided to pull the plug on the show. Yes, you read it right.
Ek Rishta Saajhedari Ka will go off air tentatively on the 20th of January. The makers are currently looking to wrapping up the story effectively.
The show, that started with great pomp and show, was also in the news for the comeback of its male lead Kinshuk Vaidya. Kinshuk shot to fame when he played Sanju, in the acclaimed kids show Shaka Laka Boom Boom.
The reason being given is that the show's dwindling TRPs which are stated as the main reason for the show to shut shop.
We called up Kinshuk who confirmed the news with us and said, "Yes, the show is going off air. If everything goes as planned, the last episode will be telecast on the 20th of January. We do not know the reason though."
The upcoming Sony TV historical show, 'Peshwa Bajirao' will be replacing this show.
It's sad, but there is no point in dragging things more than necessary.

Shivya Pathania & Kinshuk Vaidya is best choice for Archi And Cast selection was perfect ,everyone give life to particular role whatever it is.PH,Cast and Crew did their Best ,in front of their Hardwork Thanks is A small Word #HatsOff Still Thank u Cast &Crew of ERSK ,Thanks A lot for this beautiful show and giving lots of reason to love ,Stay Blessed and All the Best. Concept is much better than kitchen politics but Alas! its ending bcz Low TRP when its Others show's Almost same and moreover its total is Always Low instead of Changing themselves they chose to shut it down.Anyway Whatever happen happens for Good . Crime shows r better option for Sony (Sorry)

Sony is a sinking ship And it's a good news ki ship kay sink honay say pehlay hi humara ersk uss say alag ho jayega warna doobta wa sony ussay bhi apnay saath le doobta. Its a very sad and grievous time for all Ersk fans and guys this is the time we all will stand together for our Ersk. I personally believe jo hota hay achay kay liye hota hay. May be that's why ersk team has accepted the fate of the show.

Sony is always v gud at ending new shows soon owing to trp reasons n how do thy manage to bring down trps s by Cutting down one weekly episode immediately after showhas started Reducing promotions No new promos aired strictly Promoting new showz with mahaepisodes This definately smart strategy by sony to end shows claiming trp reasons Now viewers can b 100% sure that u will always b an endangered viewer in trp list of any sony show so not watching any sony shows.

I really don't understand what Sony will do with historical shows & finite series on weekdays. They seem to be quite clueless in terms of programming. In an ideal world, there should be at least 7 weekdays shows (3 love stories, 1 thriller, 1 social drama, 1 historical, 1 finite may be). There should be another finite in the weekends with new actors such as Khotey Sikkey. Please promote the episodes of CID aggressively. They can still get a lot out of CID.

I knew this show would end in 6 months or so when it started. They tried to mimic YRKKH with modern touch, but failed. Next is Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi; it will end in next 4 to 6 months because these people just don't know how to take the story forward anymore; it revolves around same plot again and again. Although the actors in this show are BRILLIANT. Sony needs to stop trying to be innovative and do what works or the channel will shut down soon. The only hope they have is Beyhadh, but even that is not a show that will go on forever.
