Colors is all set to present the ONE-OF-A-KIND singing reality show- The Rising Star

Colors channel is all set and blazing where it is going through some major developments and will now soon be introducing an array of new shows in the coming months. With 'Naagin 2' and 'Bigg Boss Season 10' being their trump cards, Colors will also be presenting the Siddharth Shukla-Rashami Desai-Jasmin Bhasin starrer, 'Dil Se Dil Tak'.

And while the fiction department is going all guns blazing, the channel is all set to present a 'ONE-OF-A-KIND' singing reality show, 'The Rising Star'. Apart from banking on 'Bigg Boss Season 10', the channel is also increasing its reach with a singing reality show.

The promo is out and it certainly seems an anomaly. There have been n number of singing reality shows for all these years. So what makes this one different?

As seen in the promo, the show will have contestants singing to a huge wall, where there would be a huge audience listening to the contestant. Loosely inspired from 'The Voice India', this show, certainly is different. Where the contestant won't be able to see the audience, the audience too, won't be able to see the contestant. Only when the contestant starts singing, the audience will start voting on whether they like the voice or not. The more percentage the wall will showcase, the more chances of it being lifted! If the voice is loved by a huge majority of the audience, the wall will be lifted and the contestant will thus be seen and selected. And the promo also confirms a legendary face being a part of the show, which is none other than singer-musician, Shankar Mahadevan.

We can totally say that the concept is certainly the 'first-of-its-kind'. Though there are some derivations from 'The Voice India', the uniqueness of this show cannot be doubted.
