Chandni's accident on Amita ka Amit Set

Tragedy on the sets of Amita Ka Amit as the lead actress Chandni Bhagwanani aka Amita met with an accident.

A regular day's shoot turned into a painful one for Chandni Bhagwanani who plays the lead in the show Amita Ka Amit. On Monday, the actress was on a break between shoot and walking around the sets while talking on her phone when she tripped over some wires. One of the set lights fell on a prone Chandni and the actress blacked out for a few minutes.

The crew then had to rush her to hospital. "The doctor examined me and said I had some internal swelling but it wasn't serious and that I would recover soon", Chandni told us, "It was all very sudden, but the crew really helped me. My co-star Nishad panicked and rushed to get an ice block and some medicines for me".

Apart from her little accident, Chandni says she's having a great time on show and feels blessed that the audience has accepted her in the part. I have been getting very positive reviews. I was worried about what people would think of me because I am on the heavier side. But my persona suited the role and they've accepted me as Amita.
