Can’t keep it secret anymore: Rajkummar Rao unveils Badhaai Do's trailer release date with Bhumi Pednekar

Rajkummar Rao is currently gearing up to feature alongside Bhumi Pednekar in the upcoming family drama, Badhaai Do. The movie is all set for a release on February 4 and just days ahead of it, the makers of the movie are leaving no stone unturned to brace viewers for its premiere. 

On Monday, the Hum Do Humare Do actor took to social media to share a piece of good news regarding Badhaai Do’s trailer leaving fans excited. Dressed as groom and bride, Rajkummar and Bhumi are seen covering each other's mouth in the quirky poster as if covering each other’s mouth to protect a secret.

The actors also took to their respective social media handles to share the same poster with different captions with their fans. Rajkummar wrote, 

''Kal aa raha hai hamara trailer. Kal Badhaai dena vaise aaj bhi dena chaho toh de sakte ho. #BadhaaiDoInCinemas Can’t keep it a secret anymore, Badhaai Do trailer out Tomorrow! #BadhaaiDoInCinemas''

While Bhumi wrote, 

“Arre yaar, ab toh ye secret kal out ho jayega ! Kyuki kal aa raha hai hamara trailer aur hum aa rahe hai theatres main. Hey bhagwan, I am very excited.”

Speaking of the movie, helmed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni, Badhaai Do serves as a spiritual sequel to the 2018 movie Badhaai Ho. The previous saw Ayushmaan Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra essaying pivotal roles.

Now, this new version’s story and characters appear to be varying from the old one. In the latest poster, both Bhumi and Rajkummar seemingly are keeping a secret from each other.

While Raj will be essaying the role of a cop in a mahila police thana, Bhumi plays the role of a PT teacher in the film. The story and characters of Badhaai Do are visibly different from the 2018 movie.

Apart from Rajkummar and Bhumi, 'Badhaai Do' will also feature actors like Seema Pahwa, Sheeba Chadha, Lovleen Mishra, Nitish Pandey, Shashi Bhushan and others. The film is being directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni.
