Boney Kapoor reveals the truth on rumors about Janhvi's birth

Producer Boney Kapoor recently spoke about his marriage to the legendary actress Sridevi in a candid interview, shedding light on some long-standing rumors. Sridevi tragically passed away on February 24, 2018, in Dubai, sending shockwaves throughout the nation.

In the interview with the New Indian, Boney Kapoor reminisced about his marriage to Sridevi, which took place in 1996. Prior to his marriage to Sridevi, Boney had been married to Mona Shourie Kapoor. 

He revealed, "My second marriage, my marriage with Sri, took place in Shirdi. We got married on June 2." Addressing persistent rumors, he clarified the timeline surrounding the birth of their daughter, Janhvi Kapoor. "We exchanged vows, we spent a night there, and it was only in January when her pregnancy was seen that we had no choice but to marry publicly. It took place in Shirdi, on June 2. (But), in public, we were married only in January (1997). That is why some scribes still write she (Janhvi) was born before marriage, something like that,” he added.

Before his marriage to Sridevi, Boney Kapoor had been in a relationship with Mona Shourie Kapoor, with whom he had two children, Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor. 

Following their divorce, he tied the knot with the iconic actress Sridevi, and the couple had two daughters: Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor. In February 2018, the couple was in Dubai to attend a family wedding when the tragic incident occurred. Sridevi passed away due to an accidental drowning in the hotel they were staying at, marking a heartbreaking moment in Indian cinema.
