Birthday Special: Watch Ranveer Singh’s unseen audition video in his struggling days!

Ranveer Singh is undoubtedly one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood. The young boy who started out with high aspirations of becoming an actor is now the industry’s precious gem and most sought after actor today. 

Right from his debut film in 2010 till today, the actor has carved a niche for himself in the showbiz with his impeccable performances and fire cracking energy. Ranging from his all-time 1000 watt energy to his powerful performances on screen, from his unconventional fashion choices to his mushy love affair with wife Deepika Padukone, the actor is the country’s biggest heartthrob today with millions of fans in India as well as overseas.

However, the superstar’s journey was no cakewalk, and it was filled with struggles. From pursuing creative writing to working in advertising firms, Ranveer's passion for acting never dimmed away. He went to work as an assistant director and later focused on acting - which was his childhood dream. After sending portfolios to directors and auditioning for a long time, Ranveer finally managed to get an audition for a lead role in YRF’s film titled Band Baaja Baarat. Aditya Chopra saw the audition tapes on video and was impressed by Singh's acting. Ranveer finally bagged the lead role with his first Bollywood film in 2010 and the rest is history. 

The actor’s journey has truly been an inspiring one!

In his career span over 10 years, with some outstanding performances, right from Bittoo Sharma in Band Baaja Baarat to Murad in Gully Boy, Ranveer Singh has made it clear that he is in the Bollywood business to stay and how!
