Bigg Boss OTT contestant Urfi Javed refuses to comment on strained relationship with her father

The frenzy of the most loved reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ has begun. The show has been grandly launched on VOOT. For the first time in fifteen years, the show will be seen going digital. The makers are pitching the show to be ‘over-the-top’.

The show has many popular faces like Raqesh Bapat, Ridhima Pandit, Neha Bhasin, Urfi Javed, Divya Agarwal among various others. India Forums interviewed ‘Meri Durga’ actress Urfi Javed before she entered the controversial reality show. Urfi had faced a lot of struggles in her life. She hails from a conservative family from Lucknow. As per reports, the actress was caught in a tricky situation when someone mischievously put her picture on a porn site. Her father didn’t listen to her side of the story and thrashed her. She decided to run away from the house along with two of her siblings. The three of them stayed in a park and went through a lot of struggles. But they did manage to get jobs and survived beautifully. After a while, Urfi’s father got remarried to someone and left her mother. Urfi has mentioned that her father’s remarriage was a blessing in disguise as it paved way for her to connect with her mother and lead a happy life. Read below the excerpts Urfi’s interview.

Are you scared or nervous to be a part of Bigg Boss OTT?

Well, I am all things scared, nervous and many other emotions. Honestly, I’m petrified and don’t know how things would turn up in the show. Just looking forward to having a good time. 

You’re a part of the newest version of Bigg Boss which has been digitalized. Your take on it.

I believe every season of Bigg Boss, if you see closely has been different from the other. At times, they brought the heaven-hell twist, then they brought commoner versus celebrity twist. So, in a way every season has been different and had a different format all together. That’s why, I think OTT version will also have interesting twists. Having said that, the show going digital for the first time does make me little more nervous.

Considering the show has given many love stories, do you think you can find love in the show?

I am single. But honestly, I am very choosy when it comes to finding love. I don’t think there’s a chance for me to fall in love because there have been so many people in real life whom I’m not able to find love in, leave alone a few boys on the show.

One habit of yours that you think might annoy the other contestants.

Well, I’m very honest and thus people often take it as arrogance or bad behaviour. But I can’t really help. That’s the way I am.

One habit of people that gets on to your nerves.

I don’t like people poking me and following up on me for things. Like, when I say a particular task will be done, means it will be done. You don’t have to get on to my head and ask me about it hundred times.

Tell us about your relationship with your family, especially your father.

I am in touch with my mother and siblings. I wouldn’t want to speak about my father.
